Q & A
Please let me know any questions you might have and I'll add them here!
Take any pictures? We'll also have a shared Google Drive to upload images to!
Please upload your pics and videos HERE!
Gifts? Please, if anything - you can gift us funds to help cover costs.
No! Please don't bring gifts...
If you would like to make a donation that would be most appreciated to help us cover the event costs or even a honeymoon. You can send a gift via Venmo (@fullong) or PayPal (@MichMash500).
What should I wear?
Whatever you want! THIS IS A CASUAL GATHERING... fun, funky, flip flops, jeans, disco, glitter, gold, sparkly, velvet, or whatever makes you feel awesome.
For Saturday: Bring your fruitiest attire for the Saturday evening Fruit Party! This could be a banana costume or perhaps a t-shirt covered in strawberry patterns. Get fruity! We'll bring extra fruit costumes ;-)
Where should I park? Designated driver?
If you're not staying at Yachats Inn there is a small parking lot located next to The Tea House for guest parking. Parking here is very limited. There is public parking just west of Yachats Inn along the oceanfront on Yachats Ocean Road. This is a one-way road accessible just north of the Yachats Inn entrance. Click here for a Google Maps pin of the extra parking area. Please refer to our site map for reference.
If you're staying in Yachats we HIGHLY RECOMMEND walking, biking, getting a ride, or having a designated driver if you plan on consuming alcohol. No drunk driving! Please! Also - law enforcement tends to be present outside of the venue for event weekends and won't hesitate to pull you over.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are intoxicated and trying to leave the venue please reach out to us and we'll see about finding a spot for you to sleep. If you're visibly intoxicated and trying to drive away from the venue we will stop you.
Is there a kitchen or BBQ I can use for the potluck or anytime over the weekend?
YES! There is a community-style commercial kitchen on-site at The Tea House event space that everyone is welcome to use! There are some utensils, cookware, and serving ware available if needed. Please check with Michelle if there's something you need and she'll let you know if it's available.
There is also a small kitchen in the Commons Area in the middle of the hotel area. Most rooms on site have a kitchen if you're staying at Yachats Inn.
Are dogs allowed?
YES! During times of food being out and during group gathering times, it'd be best not to have pups around off-leash.
If you need to have your dog present during group gatherings then please keep your pup on a short leash. If your pup has ever had any incident or persistent tendencies with another dog or human (ex: attacked another animal, bit someone, persistent tendencies, etc...) on a leash at all times and not in reach to bother other people or dogs. We know navigating which pups are welcome and which are not is tough, but please use your best judgment for the whole group so everyone can have fun and not be deterred from the real party. For example, we will be bringing one of our dogs because we know he does well in social situations and with other dogs. However, we had to decide to leave one of our dogs at home because he barks and growls around food and makes people feel uncomfortable with his growling. It's a tough choice but it's best for the group.
Puppy parties are fun! I'm sure those bringing dogs to the coast will find time to bring their pups to the beach for some playtime!
What should I bring?
If you're around for Saturday.... The Pot O' Love (potluck) starts at 5 pm so bring a dish!
Other items: Lawn chairs, yard games, clothing for any type of weather at the coast, your own liquor/mixers that you might want, bathing suit for the pool, fun attire for Friday, your fruitiest of attire for Saturday, instruments, propane fire pits, rain attire just in case, earplugs, headlamps,...
